Deadline for Doctoral Regalia Rental is March 26th, 2025. **Note! The Faculty Loaner regalia does not include a doctoral hood or tam, so if faculty would like these items, they must place a rental order by this date.

The rental return date for rentals in 2024 is Dec 13, 2024. If rental is not returned by the due date, a fee of $800 will be charged.

To complete your UT Official Doctoral Regalia, purchase the tam and pin set. The tam and pin set are NOT available for rental.

University of Texas Doctoral Pin Set

All UT Official hoods are identical, regardless of your degree or specialty. It will be a sable-colored fabric, with sable-brown velvet, and lined with a special Texas Orange and white lining, as designed by the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. This hood may only be worn by doctoral graduates of the University of Texas at Austin.
